Özet

In this study, it was investigated that the closest porosity values of fabrics to their theoretical porosity values can be obtained by using physical properties of fabrics. End use, liquid absorbency, thermal comfort and resistance are closely related to pore size and distribution. So, it is important to study porosity, in order to classify and determine the right use of woven fabrics. Many methods are used to estimate porosity. In this study, firstly, image models was used for determination of the closest porosity values to their theoretical porosity values, and the other hand, it was investigated the influence on porosity of various fabric parameters. In this study, volumetric spaces can be calculated between both fibers and yarns.
