Özet

This study the resumes of academic staff working in the field of accounting at universities in Türkiye. Through this study, a general profile of academic staff in the accounting discipline in Türkiye drawn. The research population consists of 1278 academic staff in the accounting discipline in Türkiye. 186 academic staff had missing data, the research sample was limited to 1092 academic staff. According to the results, 62% of the academic staff working in the field of accounting in Türkiye were male and 38% were female. It has been observed that 91% of the academic staff work in public universities and 9% in private universities. It was revealed that 95% of the 1092 academic staff constituting the research sample completed their master's degree and 51% completed their doctorate education. When the graduation information of academic staff in the field of accounting is examined, it is observed that the universities with the highest number of graduates are Marmara University, Gazi University, Istanbul University, Atatürk University, Anadolu University, Sakarya University, and Selçuk University, which are well-established universities of Türkiye. The academic staff with 50 or more years of working; Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hamdi EKER, Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Kamil BÜYÜKMİRZA, Prof. Dr. Nalan AKDOĞAN, Prof. Dr. Celal KEPEKÇİ. It was revealed that Professor Dr. Gökhan ÖZER was the most cited academic among academic staff with Google Scholar records. The academic with the highest value in the H index was Dr. Faculty Member Alper Tunga ALKAN.
