Özet

Mentoring, which has a significant potential in the learning of pre-service teachers, continues to increase in teaching programs. However, mentoring in teacher education – especially in the area of mathematics education – is usually focused on teaching processes. Only few studies have been conducted on mathematical modelling. However, there are no studies in the literature on mentoring support in the process of evaluating mathematical modelling tasks. In this context, this chapter explored the mentoring support based on Many-Facet Rasch Analysis in the context of evaluating mathematical modelling tasks. In the present study, mentoring support for evaluating modelling tasks is considered as one-to-one support by the experienced person to the inexperienced person. Thus, the mentee tried to specialise in the profession in terms of evaluating mathematical modelling tasks.
