Özet

In this study, the Ames plaque incorporation test was used in order to investigate the possibly mutagenic features of 4 different pesticides (fluoroglycofen-ethyl, fenoxanil, pyracarbolid and benodanil) used in agriculture. For this study, both test strains, Salmonella typhimurium TA 98 and TA 100, were examined in the absence and presence of S9 metabolic activation. For this, the first three pesticides tested had concentrations of 0.1 μg/plate, 1 μg/plate, 10 μg/plate, 100 μg/plate and 1000 μg/plate, while benodanil had 0.05 μg/plate, 0.5 μg/plate, 5 μg/plate, 50 μg/plate and 500 μg/plate. They were tested in two parallel independent experiments. In TA 98 strain, there was no mutagenic activity with or without S9, while only 100 and 1000 μg/plate doses of fenoxanil were found to be mutagenic in TA 100 with or without S9. © by PSP 2008.
