Özet
This study, which was conducted to examine the cultural heritage elements in the First Reading and Writing, Turkish, Mathematics and Life Sciences first-grade textbooks prepared in line with the Turkish Century Maarif Model Turkish, Life Sciences and Mathematics course curriculum, document review, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was used. The data sources of this study consist of the First Reading and Writing, Turkish, Mathematics and Life Sciences first-grade textbooks prepared in line with the Turkish Century Maarif Model Turkish, Life Sciences and Mathematics course curriculum. Criterion sampling, one of the purposeful sampling methods, was used in determining the textbooks. The data obtained from the first-grade textbooks were collected with the “Cultural Heritage Elements Review Form” developed by Batmaz and Yurtbakan (2023). The cultural heritage elements in the textbooks were examined and evaluated in terms of text, activity and visual dimensions. Descriptive analysis was used in the analysis process of the data obtained as a result of the evaluation. At the end of the research, it was concluded that the first-grade First Reading and Writing, Turkish, Mathematics and Life Sciences textbooks mostly included intangible cultural heritage elements. It was observed that in the Turkish and Mathematics textbooks, the most intangible cultural heritage elements were performing arts, in the Primary Reading and Writing textbook, the most included information and practices related to nature and the universe, and in the Life Sciences textbook, social practices, rituals and festivals.
