Abstract

Natural resources belonging to forests, which are among the natural wealth of countries, are processed within the scope of sustainability and transformed into products with added value. These products have an economic value in economic terms. Forest products manufacturing is an important industry sector in the world. The analyses to be carried out as a result of the financial indicators of the enterprises in the sector are important. Enterprises operating in the field of forest products manufacturing in Turkey are listed under the name of "Forest Products and Furniture Manufacturing" in the Borsa Istanbul Manufacturing sector. As of December 2023, there are 6 enterprises traded in this sector in Borsa Istanbul. In this study, Orma Forest Products Integre Industry and Trade Inc., which is in the Forest Products and Furniture Manufacturing sector of Borsa Istanbul Forest Products and Furniture Manufacturing sector, has been analysed and compared with the sector by analysing the financial data between 2017 and 2022. It is understood from the financial statements of the enterprise that the enterprise has a net loss for the period except for 2022. When the result section is examined, the years that stand out among the values of the enterprise in the 6-year period are 2022, 2020 and 2017, respectively. It is inevitable that the values reached as a result of the financial analysis in these years are affected by the global epidemic Covid-19, which affects the whole world. This study is thought to contribute to the literature in terms of scientists who will conduct research in the field of forest products and furniture manufacturing.
