The aim of this study is to reveal the perceptions of teachers about teachers' room through metaphors. The study was designed as a qualitative research based on written opinions of teachers. The participants of the study were composed of 88 voluntary teachers working in 10 different schools located in the provincial center of Uşak in the 2020-2021 academic year. Research data were analyzed through content analysis. According to the results of the study, 58 different metaphors were created by 88 teachers. Among these metaphors, the most frequently used ones were "inn, living room, resting place/area, school's kitchen, beehive, and stopover area", respectively. Besides, it was also determined that their perceptions of the teachers' room were focused on two topics as "the way it is used, and spatial properties." As the way the teachers' room is used included 3 categories such as "resting purposes, educational purposes, and communication/interaction purposes", and the spatial properties included 5 different expressions such as "cosmopolitan, a second home, common, mundane/boring, and a structure far from sincerity", respectively, it was concluded that teachers' perceptions of the teachers' room varied.
