Abstract

Flax fibers have some significant advantages such as high tenacity and natural brightness. In addition, flax fibers are preferred in terms of comfort. In this study, effects of different blending ratio and some production parameters on ring and open-end spun flax/cotton blended yarns were investigated. The effects of blend ratio, yarn count, twist multiplier and spinning system were analyzed with SPSS programme. Consequently, our study demonstrated that physical yarn properties were effected negatively with increasing ratio of flax fiber and the effects were found statistically significant (p<0,05).
