Abstract
EDXRF analysis of trace elements of ores from the Mazi mountain town of Mardin, Turkey, was carried out by using a standard addition method. In the present study, 59.5 keV photons emitted by an annular 241Am radioactive source were used to excite the characteristic X-rays of various elements present in the ore. The concentrations of Sr, Mo, In, Sn, Sb, I and Ba were measured in different parts of the Mazi mountain. Copyright © 1999 by Marcel Dekker, Inc.
