Winning this award is highly competitive, as over 6,000 abstracts are submitted annually and only a limited number of fellowships (over 500 in 2024) are granted, with priority given to strong scientific submissions, financial need, and career stage. This award was a crucial opportunity to attend AAIC 2025 in Toronto, where I engaged with leading scientists, presented my work, and expanded my professional network in the global dementia research community.
